18 peopleincluding eight club members attended. The Rainbow club members explained how various decorations are used to
celebrate the night of a full moon, such as Japanese pampas grass, autumn
fruit and sweet rice dumplings.
The customs of moon-viewing in different
countries was a subject of conversation, and there was a round of singing old
children’s songs about rabbits and the moon. (Traditionally, the shadows on the
moon are said to resemble a rabbit making tsukimi-dango,
or rice dumplings)
